Wing Chun Kung Fu
Wing Chun is a Southern Chinese Martial Art dating back 300 years ago. Wing Chun is an aggressive, "no nonsense" martial art which emphasises the use of the human body structure versus muscle, or brute force, to over come larger opponents.
Wing Chun is a linear martial art centering its concept around a straight line attack rather than circular motions. The idea being the shortest distance between two points is a straight line...so use it to attack your attacker.
Wing Chun, in its core, is direct, aggressive, ugly and violent. Wing Chun possesses in its heart the true nature of fighting. Therefore the Wing Chun practitioner must realise that training to protect yourself does come with the responsibility to cause physical harm to another person...that of course is a last resort and if another human intends to do harm to you as well.
Not a "sport" martial art, Wing Chun cannot be used in today's MMA or competitive tournaments due to the fact that true Wing Chun does not possess rules. I.E. if the out come of a fight was dependant on thrusting your fingers into your enemy's eyes to protect yourself...that is the path you must take. MMA and other forms of competition obviously have rules.
In my opinion, one of the greatest things about Wing Chun is its origin . Wing Chun is the only martial art every "invented" by a woman.
Wing Chun also was the primary martial art studied by Bruce Lee.
